Marie-Hélène Debaere
Marie-Hélène Debaere graduated from KULeuven in 2013 with a master’s degree in law and immediately joined the bar.
She completed an internship at a firm specializing in criminal and family law. She started her own firm in 2017, working with a renowned firm from Izegem, specializing in divorce and personal and family law.
Mr. Debaere therefore specializes in family law and criminal law.
She obtained the certificate ‘special training in juvenile law’ and is a recognized juvenile lawyer.
Mr. Debaere also holds the certificate ‘human damage evaluation’ at the KULeuven, a postgraduate specialization on personal injury calculation.
Since October 2022, Mr. Debaere also holds the certificate of the special training in cassation in criminal cases. She also followed the supralat training (assistance in police interrogation).
In 2015, mr. Marie-Hélène Debaere won the prestigious moot court ‘het Vlaams Pleitjuweel’.
Marie-Hélène Debaere is former president of the Conference of the Young Bar of Ypres and has been a member of the Council of the Order of the Bar of West Flanders since 2022.
